TRC’s team has many years of experience with facilitating with groups large and small. We use time-tested facilitation techniques and processes to assist groups to work collaboratively to achieve their goals or to find solutions to issues or challenges. We call ourselves “meeting architects” because we work closely with our clients to design and build a facilitation process that helps them to achieve open communication, transparency, clear direction, and decisive action. We tailor our facilitation services to meet the unique needs of each client. No detail is too small.
TRC borrows its approach to meeting and process facilitation from Lao Tzu, the Chinese philosopher and founder of Taoism. He wrote:
“Imagine that you are a midwife; you are assisting at someone else’s birth. Do good without show or fuss. Facilitate what is happening rather than what you think ought to be happening. If you must take leadership, lead so that the mother is helped, yet still free and in charge. Remember that you are facilitating another person’s process. It is not your process. Do not intrude. Do not control. Do not force your own needs and insights into the foreground. When the work is done, the group will say: We did it ourselves.”

Even the most effective groups can benefit from an outside facilitator who can neutrally manage the meeting agenda, work through group dynamics, and help the group achieve its desired outcomes. Our expert facilitators help groups achieve their results while ensuring individuals are engaged and time is managed efficiently.
TRC utilizes state of the art meeting technologies such as audience response systems (keypad polling), computerized group collaboration tools and social media to assist clients in gathering and analyzing input from other team members and the public. TRC also has experience in designing barrier-free and accessible meetings which incorporate assistive technologies. TRC will work with individuals and organization to accommodate their needs.
Teams or work colleagues can often find themselves “stuck” and unable to move forward or make decisions. TRC’s expert facilitators understand group dynamics and can model proven techniques to help team members leverage and optimize their skills and talents and to work collaboratively toward a successful outcome.
